It’s National CPR and AED Awareness Week!

CPR on Women

June 1-7 each year is National CPR and AED Awareness Week, spotlighting how lives can be saved if more Americans know CPR and how to use an AED. Medic Response Health & Safety can help by training people in First Aid, CPR and AED.

National CPR and AED Awareness Week is an annual event observed in the United States to raise awareness about the importance of CPR and AED training.

The event aims to educate the public about the significance of early CPR and AED intervention in saving lives during cardiac emergencies. It encourages individuals to learn and acquire the skills necessary to perform CPR and effectively use an AED.

During National CPR and AED Awareness Week, various organizations, including the American Heart Association (AHA), the American Red Cross, and other health-related associations, conduct campaigns, training sessions, and community events to promote CPR and AED education. These initiatives often include hands-on training, informational sessions, distribution of educational materials, and demonstrations on how to perform CPR and use an AED.

Medic Response Health & Safety provides First Aid, CPR and AED training.

By increasing awareness and knowledge about CPR and AED usage, the goal is to empower more people to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations, potentially saving lives before professional help arrives.

During National CPR & AED Week June 1-7), we come together as a nation to raise awareness about the importance of PR and AED training.

Did you know according to the AHA, women and persons of color are less likely to receive bystander CPR?

Despite improvement in CPR training, the survival rate for women experiencing cardiac arrest outside of a hospital has not improved significantly, especially for Hispanic women.
