REFUNDS

In the event that you are unable to join us the following guidelines will apply. All requests to drop-out of a course prior to 10 days of the course start date will result in a full refund of tuition’s paid; minus an administrative fee of $ 30. Any participant cancellations made within 8 days of the course start date will receive a 50% tuition refund (no administrative fee applied). Any cancellations made after 5 days of the course date will receive NO refund.

This policy has been established to meet the demands of planning well-organized courses. If for any reason a course ends early due to inclement weather, unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances, there will be no refund, but students may resume their training at the next class offered. This also applies to classes that complete the required curriculum in shorter time. If the participant has not paid in full, at least 8 days prior to the course start dates, and has not contacted Medic Response Health & Safety regarding other payment options; Medic Response Health & Safety reserves the right to schedule another individual in their place without refund of tuition fee. In this event, the participant is responsible for any associated costs.

IF YOUR CLASS IS CANCELLED

If for any reason Medic Response Health & Safety has to cancel a course, all deposits payments will be refunded in full, or can be fully transferable to another course at a later date.

LIABILITY WAIVER

All participants taking a Wilderness First Aid,/ Wilderness First Responder, First Responder course are required to sign our liability release form. Please take time to read this form and make yourself familiar with it before signing.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

Medic Response Health & Safety will be requiring a 30% payment (by credit card, check or cash) to reserve a seat in any training.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

Course participants are responsible for their own well-being. This includes good health and well physical condition. Participants joining a Medic Response Health & Safety course may be required you to obtain a physician’s release prior to the taking training if necessary. This is a case by case basis. Participants are prohibited from using ANY illegal drugs and alcohol while on Medic Response Health & Safety courses. Participants give their consent for Medic Response Health & Safety to use their photographs. If under 18 years of age a written letter from parents will be needed to give consent.

COURSE OF CONDUCT

Medic Response Health & Safety expects that all participants come prepared. Medic Response Health & Safety course requires participants to follow instructions, try new activities and work as part of a team. Our courses are sometimes physically, mentally and emotionally challenging and require a strong commitment from the participant. A participant will be removed from a course by a staff member it they exhibit behavior deemed inappropriate to our program and policy. The use of ANY non-prescription drugs and alcohol is against Medic Response Health & Safety policy and will result in removal from the class without refund.

PARENT APPROVAL

PLEASE NOTE: Students must be at least 16 years of age and able to participate in all activities. Prices quoted are for training sessions at Medic Response Health & Safety and generally include instructional materials and certification and testing fees. If student is less than 18 years of age, he/she will need a parent’s signed approval to take this course.
