Stop The Bleed Month

The human body can bleed out in under 1 minute without proper bleeding control measures.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 years of age in the United States. Approximately 40% of trauma deaths are due from severe bleeding the most treatable cause of death due to trauma. The human body can bleed out in under 1 minute without proper bleeding control measures.

Bleeding Control is designed to provide detailed information on the control of severe external bleeding, including the use of direct pressure, commercial pressure bandages, and tourniquets, and packed dressings. This can be purchased from the Medic Response Health & Safety store. Having the basic Bleeding control kit is a must in any Every Day Carry (EDC) kit. Keep one in your glove box, shop, RV, back pack and at home.

Bleeding Control Training is designed for groups and individuals who have a greater than average chance of witnessing an injury event in which heavy bleeding occurs and professional medical care is not readily available or is overwhelmed, such as law enforcement, private security, workplace emergency response team personnel and staff at large events, campuses or large occupied buildings.

If you are interested in taking a Bleeding Control training class, give Medic Response a call today at 703-449-5438.
