What is the difference between AHA and ASHI?

American Safety and Health Iinstitute (ASHI) and American Heart Association (AHA) curriculums are identical. AHA requires us to use videos for a majority of the class with very little time given for practical. ASHI is a much more hands-on curriculum with some video and power point portions.

Why is there a difference in cost between ASHI and AHA?

We are able to charge less for American Safety and Health Institute’s classes due to their lower cost of supplies and the time it takes to teach the class. American Heart Association books and supplies cost a considerable amount more per student.

How long does the class take?

Will we have to share training mannequins?

Medic Response Health & Safety prides itself in the quality and maintenance of all its equipment. We have a 1: 1 student to mannequin ratio. All mannequins are cleaned and disinfected after every use. Having your own mannequin makes the environment more conductive to learning and gives the participant a certain level of ease.

Many classes I have taken in the past were video-based and boring. Will we be watching videos for 3 hours?

American Heart Association is a very video-oriented curriculum with little time dedicated for hands-on training. American Safety and Health Institute’s curriculum allows us to do a mostly hands-on class with associated power points. We offer both curriculums to our clients.

Are all of your instructors Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics, or experienced health care providers?
