Heartsaver First Aid

Heartsaver® First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

Course Completion

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

During the course, an AHA Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their first aid skills practice and testing.

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID ONLINE – BLENDED LEARNING

Heartsaver First Aid Online has been updated to reflect new science from the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid. This course covers first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

Heartsaver First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for first aid training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on session with an AHA Instructor.
