Medic Response Health & Safety is a regional training center that can provide you with the most comprehensive and convenient First Aid and CPR/ AED training available in the greater Northern Virginia and surroundings are in Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Our Instructors are all dictated professional and give the training to out students at the same high level of training with-in a less stressful environment setting with more hands on.

Basic First Aid - This course teaches initial assessment, EMS activation, assessment of responsiveness, bleeding, burns, shock, illness warning signs, injury assessment, heat and cold related emergencies and specific body injuries.

Adult/Child/Infant CPR - This course teaches chain of survival, activation of EMS, emergency response, understanding what CPR is and a hands on skill check of CPR and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction. This course also discusses adult information on heart attacks and strokes as well as specific childhood injuries. Infant and adult manikins are used

Essentials - Basic First Aid ,CPR/AED, Emergency Oxygen, Blood Bourne Pathogens - This class will cover Basic first aid, initial assessment, barriers to contamination, clearing airways, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, CPR, AED demonstration and awareness (certification optional), bleeding, shock, sudden illness, injury assessment, heat and cold related emergencies and specific body injuries. The use of emergency oxygen and Bloodborne diseases, the use of personal protective equipment, and the requirements of an exposure control plan.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer - The goal of the CPR PRO is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency. Course content includes infant, child and adult CPR modules, two rescuer CPR, Bag Valve Mask, defibrillation and more. This course contains the required curriculum for, among others, Lifeguards, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses, CNAs and Doctors.

Bloodborne Pathogens/ Awareness - This course meets OSHA 29 CFR regulations. We focus on Bloodborne diseases the use of personal protective equipment, and the requirements of an exposure control plan.

Emergency Oxygen Administration is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.

Automated External Defibrillation (AED) - This course covers recognition of unresponsive victims, review of equipment operation and maintenance, discussion of treatment and valuable hands on practice designed to increase skills

Child And Babysitting Safety (CABS) - This course reviews basic first aid injuries and management. There is a short written exam following the review. We then review adult, child, and infant CPR and choking. You are asked to demonstrate on manikins your comprehension of the materials and techniques.

Wilderness First Aid is a 16-24 hour course for those who do more serious wilderness activities. It is the choice of many wilderness. Training designed for,  Camp Counselors, Outdoor Enthusiast, Search and Rescue Teams, Law Enforcement, Rangers, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts Leaders and Guides.   It is also suitable for those who will be participating in 1-4 day trips where they may have to care for a patient for hours before help can arrive. WFA presents wilderness topics in more detail, provides more time for skills practice, and also includes role-playing wilderness accident scenarios. This course does not include CPR instruction. Certification is good for 3 years  

This class meets the requirements for Wilderness First Aid established by Boy Scouts of America Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION)

Wilderness First Responder is a 60-80 hour course that is the standard for outdoor wilderness professionals and others who want a higher level of training, or require WFR certification. Many organizations require this as part of their job qualifications. It includes all topics covered in the WFA plus numerous additional topics. The course is recommended for Camp Counselors, Outdoor Enthusiast, Search and Rescue Teams, Law Enforcement, Rangers, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts Leaders and Guides and those who are in the backcountry for extended periods and may have to care for a patient for days. The course length may vary depending on whether the class has had previous training, or does enough reading and preparation to reduce the need for extended lectures. First Responder Training 40 Hrs this course you will learn to asses a patient and determine what medical care is necessary. This level of First Aid training is a minimum requirement for all Police and Fire Departments. You will be certified through the ECSI Health Care Provider level 2005 AHA Guidelines. Class includes a book, practical materials, and exam. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a course completion card valid for (3) years.

Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) training will help you to understand the potential dangers of the chemicals in your workplace. It will teach you how to identify chemicals and how to read the warning labels. You will learn how to access and read your organization’s hazardous material manuals. You will be taught how to read warning labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Most importantly, you will learn the necessary information to keep yourself and others safe.

Disaster Preparedness program helps you to prepare for a disaster and devise a strategy that encompasses the necessary steps that must be taken before, during and after a disaster. Throughout time mankind has been dealing with the threat of disaster. Disasters come in two forms, natural or manmade. Sometimes disasters can strike without warning. Your only defense may be your ability to be independent and self sufficient till rescue personnel can help you. We will help you prepare your self and how to build a emergency kit.

Forklift Training program recognizes the general hazards that apply to the operation of all or most powered industrial trucks. The American Safety & Health Institute promotes safety and health programs, which enhance the well being of organizations and individuals. Ability to be prepared how to operate your fork lift safety.

BLS / First Aid Instructor Training Program -The purpose of the instructor course is to provide the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to instruct and evaluate potential CPR or First Aid providers. The course will provide to instructor candidates: The educational philosophy and national 2005 ECC policies and procedures affecting all instructors; sufficient background information for comprehension of the subject matter; Information on teaching methods; an understanding of the educational aids available for teaching courses; the opportunity to develop effective presentation skills. Prerequisite for the BLS Instructor Courses: Currently certified as a Healthcare Provider and must posses a high level of skill and comfort in performing BLS. The training is done over several days with class monitoring.
