Admission Policy

COURSE REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Please note that registration is on a first come, first serve basis. A NON-REFUNDABLE payment must accompany your registration. Absolutely NO REFUNDS are issued unless class has been cancelled by Medic Response Health & Safety, LLC. all deposits/payments will be refunded in full, or can be fully transferable to another course at a later date. You must notify Medic Response Health & Safety, LLC within 48-hours advance notice prior to the start of class if you are unable to attend. You have the option to reschedule for another class date, one time ONLY. If you are a No-Show for the second time that you have scheduled, there is a $35.00 fee for rescheduling for another time. If you are absent from the course without notice to Medic Response Health & Safety, LLC, you will forfeit your registration fee. A credit, from funds already paid, for another class will not be granted due to absence without prior approval from Medic Response Health & Safety, LLC. Medic Response Health & Safety, LLC reserves the right to cancel class due to insufficient student registrations, inclement weather, or emergencies. You will be notified via email of cancellation after 6 PM the day before the course.

LIABILITY WAIVER

All participants taking a Wilderness First Aid,/ Wilderness First Responder, First Responder course are required to sign our liability release form. Please take time to read this form and make yourself familiar with it before signing.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

Course participants are responsible for their own well-being. This includes good health and well physical condition. Participants joining a Medic Response Health & Safety course may be required you to obtain a physician’s release prior to the taking training if necessary. This is a case by case basis. Participants are prohibited from using ANY illegal drugs and alcohol while on Medic Response Health & Safety courses. Participants give their consent for Medic Response Health & Safety to use their photographs. If under 18 years of age a written letter from parents will be needed to give consent.

COURSE OF CONDUCT

Medic Response Health & Safety expects that all participants come prepared. Medic Response Health & Safety course requires participants to follow instructions, try new activities and work as part of a team. Our courses are sometimes physically, mentally and emotionally challenging and require a strong commitment from the participant. A participant will be removed from a course by a staff member it they exhibit behavior deemed inappropriate to our program and policy. The use of ANY non-prescription drugs and alcohol is against Medic Response Health & Safety policy and will result in removal from the class without refund.

PARENT APPROVAL

Students must be at least 16 years of age and able to participate in all activities. Prices quoted are for training sessions at Medic Response Health & Safety and generally include instructional materials and certification and testing fees. If student is less than 18 years of age, he/she will need a parent’s signed approval to take this course. Print Signed form with you time of class
