When you receive first aid training, the goal is to truly make it possible to help another person.

The results of effective first aid training should include the following: the ability to identify the cause of harm and to be able to act on that source; to use time wisely in a crisis and be able to prioritize the course of action; to understand the basic biology needed in effective first aid; and to understand that your role is not the same as that of a trained doctor, but as someone to be a first responder.
